About Us

Our Ethos

At the Brislington Village Pre-School we recognise that children learn through play.  We offer a friendly, nurturing and caring environment where children can feel happy, safe and secure.  We provide an enriched learning environment where children are engaged and motivated to explore their surroundings. We have high expectations of all the children and our child centred approach to learning enables your child to build on their skills and knowledge they already have to achieve their full potential.

We regularly visit the local community with visits to the library, park and our own allotment.

We have 'stay and play' sessions every Wednesday from 9 am to 10.30 am.  This is just for the parents/carers and grandparents of children who attend the setting. (Currently suspended due to Covid-19)

We have a toddler room and a pre-school age room for our children. The toddler room can take a maximum of 15 children per day.  The toddler room also provides a quiet area for the younger children to rest and sleep if they choose to during their time with us at the pre-school.

We have a high adult to child ratio of 1 adult to every 7 children for the three year old children and 1 adult to 3 children for our 18 months to three year old children.  This provides excellent care of all the children.

We use Tapestry for our online learning journals so you can keep up to date with everything your child has been learning at the pre-school.  We encourage parents to add learning moments to their child's learning journal.

We take children from the age of 18 months old, fee paying is:-

18 months to 2 years - £5.40

2 years to 3 years - £5.30

3 years upwards - £5.20
